Aqua Pennsylvania to Close Route 63 (Welsh Road) Weekdays in Abington Township for Water Main Replacement

Aqua Pennsylvania will close Route 63 (Welsh Road) between Huntingdon Road and Paper Mill Road in Abington Township, Montgomery County, on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. starting Tuesday, April 15, for water main replacement, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced. The weekday closure will be in effect through mid-November.

During this operation, Route 63 (Welsh Road) through traffic will be detoured over Edgehill Road, Terwood Road and Welsh Road. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area.

The construction schedule is contingent on the weather.
