Bank Robbery

On January 9, 2024, at 3:27 pm Abington Police responded to a report of an armed robbery at a bank in the 1300 block of Old York Road. Information indicated the involvement of two suspects in the robbery, and a detailed description of the individuals and their vehicle was promptly relayed to responding officers. Shortly thereafter, officers located the vehicle in the area of Meetinghouse Road at Fox Chase Road.

When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the actors fled causing several minor accidents before colliding with an Abington Police car at the intersection of Meetinghouse and Jenkintown Roads. Both suspects attempted to flee on foot but were quickly apprehended by officers.

Following the apprehension of the suspects, police recovered all the money stolen from the bank during the robbery. Furthermore, the involved handgun was recovered, and it was discovered that the suspects were operating a stolen vehicle.

The handgun used in the robbery has been identified as having been obtained through a straw purchase operation.

The suspects were identified as Charles Clark and Emanuel Glass of Philadelphia.  They are both being held at The Montgomery County Correctional Facility on $250,000 cash bail.
