Shooting – Arrest Made

On 10/7/23, at 0320 hours, Abington Police responded to the 1600 block of Washington Ave in the Willow Grove section of Abington Township for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, an adult male was found in the street, suffering from gunshot wounds to his legs. It was determined that the suspect had fled the area in a vehicle prior to police arrival. The victim was transported to Jefferson Abington hospital and treated for non-life threating injuries. Further investigation revealed that this was a domestic related incident, and the suspect was identified as Kaream Bundy.

Abington Detectives had information that Bundy was hiding in the Philadelphia area.  Bundy appeared to be making plans to flee to Atlanta.  On Tuesday afternoon, 10/10/23, US Marshals located Bundy in the area of 1300 Race Street, in Philadelphia.  The US Marshals took Bundy into custody at this location without incident.  Bundy is charged with Aggravated Assault – attempts to cause serious bodily injury, Aggravated Assault – attempts to cause bodily injury with a deadly weapon, Simple Assault, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Terroristic Threats, Persons Not to Possess a Firearm, Carrying a Firearm Without a License, and Intimidation of a Witness.  Bundy was transported to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility and is awaiting arraignment.

CRIMINAL CHARGES, AND ANY DISCUSSION THEREOF, ARE MERELY ALLEGATIONS AND ALL DEFENDANTS ARE PRESUMED INNOCENT UNTIL AND UNLESS PROVEN GUILTY.
