Unlawful Contact with a Minor Arrest – Wendy’s Restaurant, 733 Huntingdon Pike, Huntingdon Valley, PA

Case – 18-022828

On June 12, 2018, three, fifteen-year-old females reported that while they were inside the Wendy’s Restaurant at 733 Huntingdon Pike, in the Huntingdon Valley section of Abington Township, a male exposed his genitals to the girls. Through the course of this investigation, it was discovered that in March, of this year, the same male had exposed himself to the same girls. One this occasion he attempted to follow them in the Huntingdon Valley Shopping Center, but they were able to get away from him. Detectives quickly identified a suspect, Mitchel A. Rosenberg, 64 years of age, from the 3400 block of Ryan Ave., Philadelphia. Rosenberg is a registered sex offender and is listed on the PA Megan’s Law website.  During the course of this investigation, investigators discovered that in 2006 Rosenberg had followed a fourteen-year-old girl at the Neshaminy Mall in Bensalem Township and exposed his genitals while following her. Abington and Bensalem Detectives worked cooperatively and Rosenberg was positively identified as the suspect in both the Abington Wendy’s incidents and the Bensalem incident. A warrant was issued for his arrest. Due to the nature of the crime, the statute of limitations has not expired for the Bensalem incident therefore; arrangements were made for the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office to prosecute all of these incidents.

On June 19, 2018, Rosenberg turned himself in to the Abington Police Department to face charges of Unlawful Contact with a Minor (a felony offense), Indecent Exposure, and Open Lewdness. He was transported to the Montgomery County Prison after failing to post $100,000 cash bail.
