Robbery

Case: 18-017338

On May 3, 2018 at 7:42 PM the Abington Police responded to Easton Road and Keswick Avenue for a report of a robbery in progress. When police arrived they spoke to the victim, a 59 year old Glenside woman, who provided a description of a white male that grabbed the purse she was holding and then fled.  Witnesses who were chasing the suspect, flagged down arriving police officers and directed them to the location of the suspect.  The suspect continued to flee upon seeing police; however, he was apprehended after a short foot pursuit in the rear yards of the 400 block of Abington Avenue.

The male is identified as Michael Bee of the Glenside section of Cheltenham Township.  He was charged with robbery and related offenses.  He was arraigned by District Justice Juanita Price and is being held on $5,000 10% bail.
