Register NOW for Abington Township Police Department’s 2020 Citizen’s Police Academy!

 

Have you always been interested in police work? Well here’s your chance to learn everything you’ve always wanted to know about being a police officer. The Academy is designed to teach citizens about the training, policies, and guiding principles of law enforcement and ethics that shape Abington Police Department.

Participants will learn about SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics), accident investigation, police K-9, use of force, CSI processing, and many other interesting police functions. All classes are taught by Abington officers and members of other agencies. There is no homework, and it’s FREE!

This program will be held at our Public Safety Training Facility (located at 2200 Florey Ln) on Wednesday evenings from 7:00-9:00 p.m. for eight weeks beginning March 4th and running through April 22nd.  Residents of Abington and surrounding communities are eligible to attend.
