Burglary- Arrest

Abington Police Chief William J. Kelly announces the arrest of 32 year old Victor R. TABAAC III for an attempted burglary which occurred on August 12, 2014 at an unoccupied home in the 900 block of Moredon Road in the Meadowbrook Section of Abington Township. The attempt was made on French Style Doors which contained 20 glass panels. Five of the glass panels had been broken out and there was an additional attempt to pry the door in the area of the handle. Despite these efforts to gain entry, the security bolts held and no entry was gained. It appeared that the person who attempted to break into the home cut himself in the process and there were blood stains left on the door. Swabs of the stains were submitted to the Pennsylvania State Police Lab for analysis.

On September 1, 2015 the PSP Lab confirmed that DNA from the swabs belonged to 32 year old Victor R. TABAAC III who previously resided in the Huntingdon Valley Section of Abington Township. An arrest warrant was issued for TABAAC charging him with burglary, criminal trespass, criminal mischief and related charges. TABAAC was arrested on September 4, 2015 at the George Hill Correctional Facility in Delaware County where he was being held.

A preliminary hearing was held for TABAAC on October 7, 2015 and all charges were held for court.

Note: The charges against Victor R. Tabaac III are allegations only and
have not yet been proven in a court of law.
