Lieutenant Kelley Warner Appointed to Deputy Chief

On Thursday evening November 9th, the Abington Township Police Chief, John A. Livingood, appointed Lieutenant Kelley Warner to the rank of Deputy Chief. She has both a Bachelors and Master’s degree from West Chester University and is a graduate of Northwestern University Police Staff and Command school. Deputy Chief Warner joined the Abington Township Police Department as a Patrol Officer in January 1989. In 1996, she was appointed as a juvenile detective where she helped the department formulate our first Youth Aid Panel. She was promoted to the rank of  Sergeant in 2000, and was reassigned to the Patrol Division. In August 2013, she was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and assumed command of a patrol platoon. Additionally, Deputy Chief Warner has served as the accreditation manger overseeing the departments fourth re-accreditation through the Pennsylvania Law Enforcement Accreditation (P.L.E.A.C.). She continued in this roll and oversaw the department’s International re-accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (C.A.E.L.A.). while she was the commanding officer of the Community Policing Division.
