The purpose of this site is to allow Township of Abington’s citizens, customers or any victim of crime that occurred within the Township limits, to file police reports online.

If the incident you wish to report is an emergency, a crime in progress or involves any type of injury please do not submit the report online and dial 9-1-1. The loss or theft of prescription medication, narcotic or otherwise CANNOT be reported online. For any incident that requires a police officer to respond please dial 9-1-1.

Before you proceed, you should be aware that it is a crime to make a false police report and all instances of false reports will be prosecuted. This online reporting system is only to be used to report a limited set of criminal incidents with very specific criteria, listed below.

Types of Crimes that can be Reported Online

Abandoned Auto Report of a vehicle whose registration is expired and has not moved from it’s location for more than 48 hours. This could include a vehicle that is not drivable because of extensive damage or that has an expired inspection.
Animal Complaint – Barking dog, lost pet, etc. Complaint regarding an animal not in progress. Barking dog/ ongoing issue not occurring at this time.
Child Custody Report – Failure to comply with Judges Order ONLY Report of a person failing to comply with a Judges order regarding custody of a child. Report is being filed for Family Court Documentation purposes.
Criminal Mischief/ Vandalism – Minor Loss The act of changing, modifying or defacing public or private property Graffiti, knocking over a mailbox, vandalism, etc.
Credit Card Fraud Using another person’s credit card without their authorization. Report is required for Credit Card Company documentation purposes.
Harassment by Communication Unwanted communication by computer or phone. Ongoing issue without the threat of immediate violence, for example hang up phone calls or repeated social media posts or messages.
Hit and Run Crash to Unoccupied Property Damage to property by vehicle which left the scene. Minor hit and run to vehicle, just discovered.
Identity Theft/Fraud – Phone or Internet Obtaining someone else’s personal identifying information and using it to obtain credit, goods or services. Report is required for documentation/ dispute purposes by Bank or Creditor.
Lost Property – Except Firearms and other weapons When property is missing or lost. A lost cellular phone where a report is required by your phone provider.
Non-Active Traffic Complaint Incident is not in progress/ ongoing issues. Reports of kids hanging out in a secluded area, not currently ongoing.
Non-Active Suspicious Activity Incident is not in progress/ ongoing issues. Reports of kids hanging out in a secluded area, not currently ongoing.
Parking Complaint Complaint of a vehicle illegally parked on a roadway or in a parking lot without permission of the owner. Complaint where a vehicle is improperly parked but does not pose a hazard or require an immediate response.
Police Information Information you wish to convey to Police. A home having loud parties.
Report for Insurance Purposes When a report is only needed for insurance claim purposes. Property damage, perhaps by a storm or falling tree.
Thefts under $2,000.00 When your property is taken without your authorization. Theft of property or small amounts of cash from a parked vehicle.
Theft of a Bicycle Theft of a bicycle of any value. Theft that happened at an earlier time but has just been discovered.
