Burglaries on Hampton Road UPDATE

It was initially reported that, in addition to the robbery on September 29 in the 1400 block of Hampton Road, there was also an attempted break in at a home in the 1500 block of Hampton Road. After a forensic analysis by an Abington crime scene detective revealed that the glass window pane was broken from the inside out, witnesses were re-interviewed. A person associated with the homeowners admitted to breaking the glass accidentally, rendering the attempted burglary in the 1500 block of Hampton Road a false report. Police continue to investigate the robbery in the 1400 block of Hampton Road, and extra officers are patrolling the area.
