Armed Robbery & Shooting – 7/11 Store, 2869 Limekiln Pike, North Hills

April 5, 2016
Case 16-013998

At approximately 1:35 AM on April 5, 2016, the 7-11 Store was empty except for the lone
employee (victim) who was working, a 67 year old male from Willow Grove. The victim was
working in the rear stockroom. The victim heard someone enter the store and walked out to see
who it was. He was confronted by a black male, medium height, medium build, wearing a black
hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants, and black shoes. The suspect appeared to have a white
cloth wrapped around the lower portion of his face. The suspect was carrying a black handgun
and the victim attempted to knock the gun away from the suspect. The suspect shot the victim in
the leg which caused the victim to immediately fall to the floor. While the victim was on the
floor, the suspect fired a second shot at him but it apparently missed the victim. The suspect
then fled the store. The victim was transported to Abington Memorial Hospital for treatment of
his injuries. Abington Police would also like to talk to a possible witness who was in the store
shortly before the crime occurred. This potential witness is pictured below along with the
suspect. Anyone who recognizes either the suspect or the witness is asked to contact APD at 267-
536-1100 – Option #4. In an emergency always dial 9-1-1.
