Armed Robbery / Arrests

At approximately 9:12 PM on January 6, 2012 a man driving in his car at Patane and Arline Avenues in Roslyn was flagged down by two males. When he stopped to see what they wanted, a third male appeared and pointed a shotgun at his head. The three suspects then demanded his keys and money. After taking the victim’s money and keys the three suspects fled on foot and the victim called 9-1-1 on his cell phone. Abington Police responded, set up a perimeter and began searching for the suspects. Officers located and detained two suspects in the 1400 block of Edgewood Avenue. They were identified as Terrell ROSS, age 18 of the 1400 block of Edgewood and a 16 year old male who resides in Philadelphia. The victim positively identified both suspects as two of the individuals who robbed him. Officers located the third male, Leon WARDLAW-LIGGINS, age 18 of Philadelphia at Patane Avenue and Easton Road. The victim identified him as being the third of the three suspects who robbed him. Inside a barbeque grill in a yard where officers had chased the first two suspects, officers found a pump action shotgun with the handle sawed off. ROSS and WARDLAW-LIGGINS are awaiting arraignment on robbery, terroristic threats, criminal conspiracy, prohibited offensive weapons and related charges. The juvenile was detained by Montgomery County Juvenile authorities. There were no injuries during the crime or apprehensions.
