Case 17-009612

At approximately 11:18 PM on March 8, 2017, the female suspect pictured below entered the
store and approached the counter. The suspect ordered the lone clerk on duty to “open the
register!” The clerk who speaks very little English thought the female was joking and smiled at
her. The suspect then displayed a knife and repeated; “open the register!” The clerk told the
suspect that he didn’t speak English and she fled the store on foot without getting any money.
There were no injuries. There was an approximately 10 minute delay in reporting this crime to
police because of the language barrier and the necessity for the victim to use a Language Line.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect is asked to contact APD at 267-536-1100 – Option #4. In an
emergency always dial 9-1-1.
