Abington Township Police Department Declares a Snow Emergency

Abington Township Code 156.39  authorizes the Chief of Police to declare a SNOW EMERGENCY when snowfall exceeds two inches or, in the Chief’s discretion where conditions warrant such a declaration to combat the hazards of snow and ice on the highways. The Abington Township Police Chief, Patrick Molloy, has declared a Snow Emergency for Abington Township beginning Friday, January 28, 2022 at 7PM and ending Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 7PM. No parking is allowed on the Snow Emergency Routes. Vehicles left on Snow Emergency Routes may be towed and impounded at the owner’s expense.
