Shooting at Transportation Company

October 16, 2015
Case 15-040339
Shooting – Montco Transportation, 2728 Mt. Carmel Avenue, North Hills

At approximately 1:22 PM on October 16, 2015, an employee of the transportation company, 33
year old Ozzie Lou CLARK, Jr. of Philadelphia had a dispute with his boss, the 45 year old male
owner of the business. The dispute was over money that CLARK felt was owed to him by the
business. CLARK stepped outside and removed a handgun from his waistband. He went back
into the business office and immediately shot the owner in the chest. There were three other
employees in the office at the time of the incident and CLARK pointed the gun at them as well.
Following the shooting, CLARK continued to demand “his money”. One of the employees asked
CLARK if they could call an ambulance for the victim and CLARK said “No”. Another employee
instructed one of the others, the book keeper, to “cut him a check” and the book keeper
immediately wrote out a check which was handed to CLARK and he left the office.
The victim was transported to Abington Memorial Hospital by the Second Alarmers Rescue
Squad and his condition is currently considered stable.

CLARK fled in the same car. A description of the vehicle was broadcast to other area police
departments and Philadelphia PD stopped the vehicle at 72nd and Woodland. CLARK had the
gun in his possession and PPD Officers immediately took CLARK into custody. Abington Police
are arranging to bring CLARK back to Abington to face multiple charges in connection with the
shooting.

Note: The charges against Ozzie Lou CLARK, Jr. are allegations only and have not yet been
proven in a court of law.
