Register Now For Abington Township Police Department’s 2018 Citizens Police Academy!!

Have you always been interested in police work? Wondered why police officers do what they do and how they do it? Well here’s your chance to see a side of police work only the officers usually see! It’s an opportunity for a special look inside the Abington Police Department and the chance to learn everything you’ve always wanted to know about being a police officer.

Participants will learn about SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics), accident investigation, police K-9, use of force, CSI processing, and many other interesting police functions. Police officers from Abington and other agencies will teach the classes.

This program will be held on Wednesday evenings from 7:00-9:00 p.m. for eight weeks beginning March 7th and running through April 25th. Residents of Abington and surrounding communities are eligible to attend. Participants will have a graduation ceremony on the final night where they will receive a certificate of completion. There is no charge to participate!
