APD Arrests Suspects in Home Invasion Robbery |

On August 31, 2011 two males were arrested by Abington Police for the home invasion robbery which occurred on August 24, 2011 on the unit block of McFadden Drive in the Chapel Hill section of Abington Township. The two males have both been charged with robbery, burglary, theft, aggravated and simple assault, and various related charges. Arrested were:
#1. Jeffrey LOPERGOLO, age 19, of the 8800 block of Rising Sun Avenue, Philadelphia 19115.
#2. Anibal PASTOR, age 17 of the 12000 block of Rambler Road, Philadelphia 19154.
Abington Police allege that LOPERGOLO and PASTOR broke into the residence at approximately 6:30 PM on August 24, 2011. Once inside, they confronted the 77 year old female resident of the home, struck her with a club, sprayed her with pepper spray, and threatened her before covering her face with a pillow. They then stole three handguns, cash and jewelry before fleeing.
LOPERGOLO and PASTOR were arraigned by District Justice Joseph Dougherty and sent to Montgomery County Prison in lieu of $500,000 cash bail each. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled in front of District Justice Dougherty on September 13, 2011 at 2:00 PM.
