Friday, March 02, 2007

On Thursday, March 1, 2007, 43 year old Debbie Madosky of 23 Bortons Road, Medford, New Jersey turned herself in to Abington Police on charges that she stole 1.4 million dollars from an 86 year old female resident of Rydal Park. Madosky is charged with five felony counts each of theft of movable property, receiving stolen property, theft by deception, theft by failure to make required disposition of funds received, and one count each of the Pennsylvania Securities Act regarding fraudulent acts (a felony) and acting as a broker without being registered to do so (a misdemeanor).

The charges were brought as a result of a 10 month investigation conducted by Abington Police, Pennsylvania State Securities Commission, and the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office. There is no indication that any investments were made on the victim's behalf and the funds have not been returned to the victim.

Madosky was arraigned by District Justice Juanita Price and released on $500,000 ROR bail. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for March 9, 2007 at 1:00 PM in front of District Justice Price.
