On Thursday, July 26, 2007, at approximately 1:45 PM, a female resident of the 1100 block of Sewell Lane in the Rydal section of Abington Township went to her kitchen and observed a strange male inside her home. The male had her pocketbook in his hand, attempting to flee with it. The resident grabbed for the pocketbook and struggled with the suspect, injuring her hand in the process. The suspect escaped with the pocketbook. Entry to the home was made by cutting a window screen, which was open for ventilation. Suspect reached in and unlatched the screen, gaining entry.

Responding police captured the suspect coming out of a wooded area at the rear of property. The victim's pocketbook was found nearby and the suspect had already removed the cash and placed it in his pocket.

Arrested was Angel L. Burgos, age 33, Philadelphia. Burgos is being held for arraignment at Abington Police Department.
