During the evening of July 10, 2007 a suspicious male was seen
walking around inside the Brookside Nursing Home in the Roslyn Section
of Abington Township. The male was dressed like an employee of an
ambulance service. The nursing staff investigated and found that
this male had been in a patient's room and had removed a morphine
patch from the chest of an elderly patient. Abington Police investigated
this incident and obtained an arrest warrant for Thomas Olli, 28
years of age of Philadelphia. The warrant charged Olli with robbery,
theft, receiving stolen property, criminal trespass, and recklessly
endangering another person. Olli, who is a Paramedic employed by
"Art of Life" Ambulance Company, turned himself in to
Abington Police on July 20, 2007. Olli was arraigned by District
Justice Joseph Dougherty and released on $10,000 unsecured bail.
