On July 1, 2007 at approximately 7:00 PM, a female resident was
assaulted as she entered Alvethorpe Park in the Jenkintown Section
of Abington Township. The suspect, pictured below, walked past the
victim as she walked into the park. Shortly after she entered the
park and started down the walking path the suspect grabbed her from
behind, put his hand over her mouth, and attempted to take her to
the woods. The victim screamed and the suspect threw the victim
to the ground before fleeing the park on foot. The suspect is described
as a white male, 33 to 35 years of age, 5'5" to 5'7" tall,
with a muscular, heavy build and close cropped hair. He was wearing
an olive drab color T-shirt and ¾ length shorts. The victim
stated that he looked "strange" as if he was suffering
from mental problems.
