Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse and Related Charges Arrest

          On June 29, 2018, the Abington Township Police Department took a report of a sexual assault of a 12 year old female resident of Abington Township. The victim reported that she was assaulted numerous times for the last 2 years by her mother’s boyfriend. During the investigation the suspect was identified as Bruce Beatty, a 49 year old male from Philadelphia. The assaults occurred in the victim’s home and the mother was unaware the assaults were occurring.

On August 20, 2018, a warrant was issued for Bruce Beatty. On August 23, 2018, Beatty turned himself into the Abington Township Police Department. Beatty was arraigned before District Justice John Kessler. His bail was set $50,000.00 cash. He is currently in the Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
