Dispatchers

Full-time Dispatcher
As a 911 answering point, Abington maintains an active Radio Room operation. Civilian dispatch personnel are often the first point of contact for citizens in crisis. Dispatchers work rotating 12-hour shifts, and enjoy competitive salary and benefits. Successful applicants will work well under stressful conditions, be able to type into a computer, and speak clearly. Public safety dispatch experience is considered a plus. Dispatchers will be trained & evaluated to ensure that they comply with Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) standards for police dispatchers.

Part-time Dispatcher - Applications Available
Performs the same function as a Full-time Dispatcher, but generally does not rotate shifts. Assignments are made based on staffing needs. Previous public safety dispatch experience is strongly preferred.
