Burglaries on Hampton Road

On September 29, 2018 at 12:55 AM, a resident in the 1400 block of Hampton Rd. reported that four masked suspects entered the home through an unlocked door. At least one of the suspects was armed with a handgun. The suspects stole a watch, a purse containing cash and credit cards, and the victim’s cell phones, before fleeing the scene. No one was injured in the incident. Both cell phones were later recovered, one on Valley Rd. and the other on Rydal Rd.

October 1, 2018, it was reported that there was an attempted burglary at a residence in the 1500 block of Hampton Rd. The suspects smashed a glass window pane in an attempt to gain entry. The suspects cut themselves during this attempt and entry was not gained. Our investigation has revealed that this crime occurred around the same time as the robbery on September 29, however the report to our department was delayed.
