Bank Robbery – B B & T Bank, 990 Old York Road, Abington

At 9:03 AM on October 20, 2016 the male whose picture appears below walked into the bank just after it had opened.  The man walked directly to a teller and opened a small book which displayed a note that demanded money.  The clerk handed the man an undisclosed amount of assorted denomination bills and the male turned around and walked out the Old York Road Side doors (the same one he entered through) and was last seen walking north on Old York Road towards the parking lot.   No weapon was shown or implied and there were no injuries.  A white pickup truck was seen leaving the area during this time and may or may not be involved.  Anyone with information should contact Abington Police at 267-536-1100, option #3 or the FBI at 25-418-4000; tipsters can remain anonymous.  In an emergency always call 9-1-1.

Suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6’ tall, 45-55 years of age with a dark complexion and orange coloring in part of his beard. He was wearing the clothing seen here which included a fitted, white, baseball type hat.
